Ridgeview recently celebrated the 10-year anniversary of its joint venture with Minneapolis Heart Institute® at Abbott Northwestern Hospital – which formed the Minneapolis Heart Institute at Ridgeview Heart Center. Cardiologists from Minneapolis Heart Institute treat patients at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia and Two Twelve Medical Center in Chaska, providing a variety of general and subspecialty inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular services.
During the past 10 years, the cardiovascular lab at Ridgeview has performed 2,475 total procedures, including 2,330 angiograms and 863 stents and/or angioplasty. The center opened in 2007 with two cardiologists and one physician assistant. Currently there are five general cardiologists, five interventional cardiologists, 2.5 midlevel providers and subspecialists providing services including electrophysiology, heart failure, prevention, vascular and valve clinic. The second location – an outpatient clinic at Two Twelve Medical Center in Chaska – opened in February 2011. In 2017, the center will see nearly 2,300 inpatients, 7,200 clinic patients and perform more than 5,000 echocardiograms and 400 angiograms between both locations.
Ridgeview Heart Center features two, state-of-the-art catheterization labs that offer cardiac, vascular and interventional radiology procedures. Services available at Ridgeview’s Waconia campus include inpatient services, clinic consults, imaging studies and procedures. The Chaska location offers outpatient consults and diagnostic services.
