Waconia, Minn. (April 11, 2013)—Ridgeview Medical Center will break ground for an expansion of Two Twelve Medical Center on May 1. Ridgeview administration and department leaders, Ridgeview Board of Directors, Ridgeview Foundation, City of Chaska representatives, construction partners, new and existing tenant leaders will be present for the gathering.
Construction will begin in May on a 45,000-square-foot, two-story expansion at Two Twelve Medical Center in Chaska, with project completion planned for February 2014. The new addition will be located in the northwest corner of the existing building, running parallel to Highway 41. Parking will be added in the northeast corner of the site and along the west side.
“Since Two Twelve opened in February 2011, Ridgeview has had increased interest from other clinics wanting to be present on the Chaska campus,” said Michael Phelps, chief administrative officer for Ridgeview Medical Center. “This expansion provides that opportunity, but ultimately was driven by the community’s demand for programs,” Phelps said.
The expansion allows for the addition of new services and clinics: Ridgeview Oncology Clinic & Infusion Center, PrairieCare, Edina Eye Physicians & Surgeons, PA, and Interventional Spine and Pain Physicians in the new part of the building, and the build out of an outpatient surgery center on the existing third floor.
